Freshworks Announces 500 Job Cuts, 11% Workforce Reduction in Q1 2026 Earnings

Freshworks announced a workforce reduction of approximately 500 jobs, or 11% of its global workforce, on May 5, 2026. The company had about 4,500 full-time employees as of December 31, 2025. CEO Dennis Woodside stated the cuts stem from AI use in product and engineering plus automation of routine work, with savings reinvested in the Employee Experience business including Freshservice. Freshworks reported Q1 2026 revenue of $228.6 million, up 16% year-over-year, while forecasting full-year 2026 revenue of $958 million to $964 million.
