Milvus project reached 35K+ GitHub stars as of June 2025 with current count at 35.5K stars. Zilliz released Milvus 2.0 in 2022 and completed Series B+ funding round that year. Zilliz launched Zilliz Cloud fully managed version of Milvus and received Forrester leader recognition in vector database category.
