Nouveau Monde Graphite initiated construction activities at the Phase-2 Matawinie Mine as part of its quarterly update released around May 13, 2026. The company secured financing totaling approximately US$645 million across debt, strategic private placements, and an oversubscribed public offering to advance the project. NMG filed its 2025 ESG Report highlighting leadership in responsible development, carbon neutrality, health and safety, and stakeholder engagement. The Matawinie project is projected to become the G7’s first integrated ore-to-active-anode-material graphite platform. NMG continues advancing the mine amid global efforts to secure resilient critical mineral supply chains.
