Mintlify Acquires Helicone Open-Source LLM Observability Platform

Mintlify acquired Helicone on March 3, 2026. Helicone processed over 14.2 trillion tokens, served 16,000 organizations, and tracked 33 million users before the acquisition. Co-founder Cole Gottdank stated the Helicone team will join Mintlify in San Francisco while services continue in maintenance mode with ongoing security updates, bug fixes, and new model support. Helicone previously operated as a Y Combinator Winter 2023 startup with 10 employees and generated revenue at acquisition.
