Google transitions Gemini CLI users to Antigravity CLI on June 18 2026

Google announced the migration of Gemini CLI users to Antigravity CLI effective June 18 2026. Consumer tiers including Google AI Pro, Google AI Ultra, and free Gemini Code Assist for individuals lose access to Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist IDE extensions after that date. Enterprise users retain full access through Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise licenses without changes. Google also applies the same cutoff to new installations of Gemini Code Assist for GitHub starting June 18 2026. Antigravity CLI is rebuilt in Go and integrates multi-agent orchestration for terminal workflows.
