Lambda introduced Bare Metal Instances on May 21, 2026, offering direct hardware access to rack-scale systems like NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin NVL72 without a hypervisor. The new offering combines bare-metal performance with API-driven lifecycle management using NVIDIA BlueField DPUs in zero-trust mode and Baseboard Management Controllers for out-of-band operations. Production deployments began on GB300 NVL72 Superclusters with general availability planned for Vera Rubin NVL72 rack systems. Frontier AI teams and quantitative traders gain deterministic hardware behavior, full-stack attestation via TPM, and seamless integration into existing global orchestration stacks. Lambda expects to rank among the first neoclouds providing these instances on GB300 NVL72 hardware.
