Chromie Health, a NYC-based developer of AI-powered scheduling and management platforms for hospital operations, raised $2M in pre-seed funding on May 15, 2026. Led by CEO Douglas Ford, CTO Scott Tisoskey, and CMO Dr. Patricia Ford, the company develops an SMS-first AI agent platform designed to automate hospital workforce coordination without requiring deep IT integration or patient data exposure. The funding round was led by AIX Ventures. Chromie Health will use the funding to develop additional AI agents designed to automate hospital workflows, optimize workforce management, and streamline staffing operations across healthcare systems. Chromie Dispatch fills hospital nursing shifts 60x faster via SMS compared to the typical five-hour manual process.
