Mays Business School at Texas A&M University launched the AI Venture Velocity Challenge on May 13, 2026. The challenge replaced traditional business plans with short Venture Snapshots focused on problem, solution, assumptions, tests, and AI usage. 531 student teams applied from 160 institutions across the United States. The redesign took 50 days to complete before the inaugural year.
