Trellix Appoints Joe Chen as Chief Technology Officer

Trellix appointed cybersecurity veteran Joe Chen as chief technology officer on May 19, 2026. Chen succeeds Steve Tait, who served as interim CTO, and will lead the technology roadmap, engineering execution, and R&D processes. Chen previously held senior roles at Broadcom Symantec Enterprise Division, Carbon Black, and Crosspoint Capital, and brings more than 25 years of experience plus over 55 U.S. patents. Vishal Rao, CEO of Trellix, stated Chen will partner with Chief Product Officer Alex Au Yeung to deliver next-generation security technology for the AI era. Chen worked at Crosspoint Capital as operating partner before joining Trellix.
