Fastly Joins Agentic AI Foundation to Guide Edge AI Interoperability

Fastly joined the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) as a member on May 18, 2026. Fastly released the Fastly MCP Server to connect LLMs to edge tools and commits to evolving the MCP protocol for high-frequency low-latency operations. The move extends Fastly’s Fast Forward program that provides in-kind infrastructure to open source projects. Tracy Hinds, Fast Forward Program Lead at Fastly, authored the announcement.
