AgentOps emerges as a sub-specialization within AI Cloud Engineering, defined as the discipline of running production AI agents similarly to how SREs manage production services, involving prompt regression test suites, token cost dashboards, capability scoping with deny-lists for destructive operations, blast-radius containment, audit logs of tool calls, and on-call for non-deterministic systems.
