Linear CEO and co-founder Karri Saarinen introduced Linear Agent on March 27 2026 and declared issue tracking dead. The AI agent acts on context across workspaces instead of waiting for manual tasks. Coding agents are installed in 75 percent of Linear enterprise workspaces with agent work volume up five times in the last three months. Linear plans to add AI coding assistance as part of the shift to agentic workflows.
