xAI introduced Grok Build on May 14, 2026, as an early beta coding agent available to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers starting at $300 per month. The agent runs directly from the terminal and supports complex coding tasks with features including Arena Mode and local-first design. Grok Build enters the competitive AI coding agent market to rival Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex, following xAI's partnership with Cursor for training on Colossus 2 supercomputer infrastructure. Cursor 2.5 was trained using xAI's Colossus 2 with 10x more total compute and million H100-equivalent capacity.
