Anthropic acqui-hired the Humanloop team in August 2025. CEO Raza Habib, CTO Peter Hayes, and CPO Jordan Burgess joined Anthropic along with around a dozen engineers and researchers. The move followed Humanloop signaling a shutdown ahead of the deal and strengthened Anthropic's enterprise AI strategy for prompt management, LLM evaluation, and observability. Humanloop operated as a London-based Y Combinator-backed platform used by companies including Gusto, Vanta, and Duolingo.
