Graphite One Secures New Conneaut Ohio Site for Active Anode Materials Plant

Graphite One leased an industrial site in Conneaut, Ohio on the southern shores of Lake Erie about 65 miles northeast of Cleveland from the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company, a subsidiary of Canadian National Railway, on May 19, 2026. The location provides direct Great Lakes shipping access, multi-line Canadian National Railway connectivity, and an on-site power substation compared with the prior Warren, Ohio proposal. First phase includes a finishing and blending facility upgrading 10,000 metric tons of synthetic graphite per year into 4,000 metric tons of energy storage material, 3,000 metric tons of fast-charging material, and 3,000 metric tons of high-energy-density material by end of 2027. Phase two targets 25,000 metric tons per year by end of 2028 and phase three reaches 175,000 metric tons per year with natural graphite from the Alaska mine in 2030.
