Sophos Completes Secureworks Acquisition

UK-based Sophos completed its acquisition of NASDAQ-listed Secureworks in February 2025, becoming the leading pure-play provider of managed detection and response services supporting more than 28,000 organizations worldwide. Thoma Bravo-backed Sophos paid US$859 million in cash to Dell Technologies for the deal announced in October 2024. Secureworks flagship Taegis platform integrates with Sophos offerings for unified XDR and MDR capabilities. Dell had previously acquired Secureworks for US$612 million in 2011 and listed shares in 2016 prior to the 2025 transaction.
