Zendesk Unveils Autonomous Service Workforce at Relate 2026 with AI Agents

Zendesk introduced the Autonomous Service Workforce vision at Relate 2026. Fully autonomous AI agents for Employee Service integrate with Slack and Microsoft Teams within enterprise permissions and build on the Unleash acquisition. The platform supports no-code Agent Builder and multilingual voice AI with mid-conversation context retention across more than 60 languages. Zendesk reported over 1 billion API calls and targets $500 million in AI revenue by year-end.

Zendesk Expands Startups AI Program to $100M Commitment Over Two Years

Zendesk announced commitment of $100M over 2 years to expand Zendesk for Startups program on May 20, 2026. Eligible startups up to Series B with 250 or fewer employees receive no-cost AI suite access including AI Agents plus VIP onboarding and support for up to 2 years. CTO Adrian McDermott stated AI has changed decisions founders make about customer service infrastructure. Partners include a16z, Techstars, AWS, GitHub and Notion with VC networks providing quarterly reviews and executive access.
